Description

OLIVIA embroidered linen dress. Straight slip silhouette with slits and a sharp neckline. The dress is adorned with embroidery in two techniques. The ornament design and its method are inspired by the paper artworks known as vytynanky, created by the Hutsul artist and writer Paraska-Plytka Horytsvit. Figures of a woman, a lamb, and a horse are inspired by an appliquéd rushnyk from the Ivan Honchar Museum, the tradition of Easter egg painting, and a painted house from 1928 in the Kharkiv region, respectively.
